Welcome and Thank You for choosing Camp Kernville on the ‘Wild and Scenic Kern River’ in Kernville, California
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you choose to cancel your reservation, we must receive an emailed request 30-days prior to your scheduled arrival date. A raincheck will be issued as your refund in the amount of your deposit minus a $10 cancellation fee (booking fees, online courtesy charges, and site lock fees are ALWAYS nonrefundable and will not be counted towards any future rainchecks.) Rainchecks are good for 6-months from the original reservation arrival date and are nontransferable and not valid over holiday weekends. Once a raincheck is applied, any cancellation or date modification of that raincheck will result in total forfeiture of the raincheck. Any cancellation within 30-days of your arrival date will result in a total forfeiture of your deposit. All reservations must be honored regardless of inclement weather. Camp Kernville does not, under any circumstance, issue monetary refunds. You will have chosen to forfeit your payment under any of the following situations: choose not to fulfill your agreement (read/sign/return Park Policy), are asked to leave, do not give proper 30-day written cancellation notification, and/or fail to show up. Once your reservation is finalized, you are financially responsible for the entire booking – any decrease in the number of days reserved and/or early departure will result in a forfeiture of prepaid nights.
• You may request a specific site, however; we guarantee only that your reservation will be placed within a particular site type, such as Premium, Base, Group, etc. unless you pay the applicable site lock fee. Site lock fees are waived for any booking made 1-year in advance. Site lock fees are waived for any booking of 5+ sites. If any site cancellations occur resulting in the booking number to drop below 5, site locks are removed for remaining sites unless paid for in advance by customer.

• Check in time is between 3pm and 10pm (no arrivals after 10pm). Check out is before 11am.

CHECK-IN: Check-in time is between 3pm and 10pm for Camp Sites (*See RV Rental Agreement for RV Rental Check-in times), unless other arrangements have been made with the Front Desk. *No arrivals after 10:00pm. If you arrive prior to 3pm and your site is available, you will be subject to at least half-a-day fee (depending on arrival time and availability). If you have not made late check-out arrangements and do not vacate by the check-out time, you will be charged the equivalent of an additional day’s rate for site AND RV Rental (if applicable). If your failure to vacate your site interferes with the check-in of another guest at that site, you will be charged the additional day rate(s) in addition to a $100 penalty fee. Early check-out will result in the site(s) being released back to Camp Kernville thereby forfeiting both payment and site.
TRAILER SPOT: Only sites booked with ‘backward’ hookups (sites 31, 41, 58, 78, and 83) may be spotted (pulled in rather than backed in). You must prearrange this service with the Front Desk prior to your arrival date and prepay spot fees. Trailer spots must arrive between 1pm and 3:30pm (early check-in fee is waived for these sites only). If you arrive after 3:30pm and we have maintenance staff available to spot trailer, your fee will be 2x the regular rate. If you arrive after 3:30pm and maintenance staff is not available to spot your trailer, you may back in to your site for the night. Maintenance staff will spot your trailer the following day between 8am-11am.
PAYMENT: Full site payment is required at the time of booking. Booking fees of 3.75% are applied to any booking not paid for in cash. Online courtesy charge of $5 is applied to any booking made through our booking website. Site lock fees are due at the time of booking.
