Campfires must remain within your assigned site and must not encroach on other sites, campground roads, or common areas. Burn restrictions may be enforced at any time based on directives from the U.S. Forest Service or in the event of local wind advisories. CAMPSITES
GENERAL
-Campsites vary in size and amenities. Sites may include 30- and/or 50-amp electrical service, water, and/or sewer hookups—please refer to your reservation confirmation for details. Guests are responsible for booking a site that accommodates their specific type of unit.
-Sites with both 30- and 50-amp receptacles are for single use only. For the safety of the park’s electrical system, guest equipment, and the public, only one receptacle may be used at a time.
-Due to high demand, scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, or use of local water resources for fire suppression, water pressure may fluctuate and occasional temporary shutoffs may occur.
-For stays between May 15th and September 15th, we ask that RV campers run only 1 A/C unit. To conserve electricity between 12pm and 6pm please do not set the thermostat more than 20°F below the current temperature .
-To ensure community safety, Southern California Edison may implement a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) during extreme weather or wildfire conditions. Power will remain off as long as fire risks persist. Camp Kernville is not responsible for refunds, partial or full, due to loss of utilities or any inconvenience caused by PSPS.
-Each site includes one fire ring, one utility table, and one picnic table. DO NOT PLACE PERSONAL BBQs OR COOKING STOVES ON THE PARK’S PICNIC TABLES; USE THE PROVIDED UTILITY TABLE INSTEAD. FIRE RINGS MUST REMAIN ON THE GROUND AND SHOULD NEVER BE USED UNDER TREES DUE TO FIRE RISK. If you move them within your site, please return them to their original position before checkout.
-All campsites are specifically marked. Please stay within your assigned site and do not encroach on neighboring sites, utility services, roads, or common areas. Empty sites are not open for use. Unauthorized use will result in additional fees.
-All vehicles and tents must fit within the designated site delineators and may not extend beyond site boundaries. Roof top tents count toward the total tent limit and the vehicle they are mounted on counts as the one vehicle allowed per site. *If you park your ‘included’ vehicle(s) in overflow, it will be considered an extra vehicle and charged the applicable rate.
-Camp Kernville reserves the right to reassign your campsite within the same site type for health, safety, or other extenuating circumstances. Site changes are not eligible for cancellation or refunds, as specific sites cannot be guaranteed.
